The Astounding Seattle Temple TOVP Model
Braja Vilasa reveals the astounding TOVP model built by the ISKCON Seattle devotees for the Ananda Mela Festival on August 8-9 organized by the temple.
The Temple of the Vedic Planetarium (TOVP) was conceived by Srila Prabhupada, as he is commonly known, to be the crown jewel of his spiritual organization, where Vedic knowledge and wisdom, especially regarding cosmology, life’s origin, the Supreme Being Lord Krishna, and much more could be presented to the world. It will be the largest Vedic Temple in modern history (and the second largest religious monument in the world next to St. Peter’s Basilica) with a size exceeding 400,000 sq. ft., a height of 350 feet, the largest religious dome in the world, and a capacity to hold 10,000+ visitors at one time. It is sequestered in the sacred and isolated old rice fields of Mayapur, West Bengal, India, at the confluence of the Ganges and Jalangi rivers, about three hours from Kolkata.

Srila Prabhupada's Liquid Beauty Story
Once upon a time, a prince fell head over heels for a stunning young girl. He wanted to marry her, but she wasn’t impressed. So she told him, “Give me ten days - I’ll distill my beauty for you.”
The prince agreed, dreaming of romance. But the girl spent those ten days puking and purging, saving every drop of vomit and stool in a pot. When the prince returned, she looked like death itself. Horrified, he asked where the beautiful girl had gone. She smiled, pointed to the pot, and said, “Here’s my beauty.”
Shocking? Gross? Yeah. But that’s the point.

Bilvamangala's Transformation From Prostitute to Krishna
Bilvamangala Thakura’s life changed forever through the words of a prostitute named Chintamani. Despite his obsession, one stormy night led him to cross a river holding a dead body, climb using a snake, and enter her home. Shocked by his determination, Chintamani told him, “If you had the same attraction for Krishna instead of me, you would be perfect.”
Those words pierced his heart and transformed him. From that day, Bilvamangala Thakura renounced material desires and dedicated his life to Krishna, later becoming a great saint and pure devotee.
