Buddhimanta, a prime mover in establishing the first major thrust of book distribution in Australia, inspired many of the Australian devotees. By the time he returned to America, his association had left a deep impression on his Godbrothers and Godsisters in Australia.

Caru: It's hard to say a lot about Buddhimanta, because he wasn't a very complicated person. But one thing was sure. His enthusiasm to distribute Prabhupada's books was outstanding. It seemed unlimited, and it was contagious.

Buddhimanta was no ordinary person. The things that convinced me of this were these: you couldn't be depressed around him; you couldn't be around him and not think of Prabhupada; you couldn't be around him and not be enthusiastic to engage in all the processes of devotional service; you couldn't be around him and not have good prasadam; you couldn't be around him and not be optimistic; and most of all, because he was like a forest fire, you couldn't be around Buddhimanta and not be completely on fire to distribute Prabhupada's books. There is no doubt in my mind that Buddhimanta was empowered to preach. His arrival ushered in a golden age which spread the fire of sankirtana throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Just by Buddhimanta's association, dozens of people became devotees, took up book distribution and taught others how to do it. Buddhimanta led the team, and with him we scattered hundreds and thousands of bhakti seeds in the shape of Prabhupada's books. Some sprouted immediately, some are still growing, and others are yet waiting to be cultivated. I was fortunate enough to distribute books personally with Buddhimanta all the time he was with us.

We are all so glad that HG Ambarish prabhu is well and recovered after his serious illness. He, along with his wife Swaha mataji, have pledged $10 million and will match donations up to that amount during the month of Kartik!

The goal is to move the deities and open the temple for the 50th anniversary of Srila Prabhupada's disappearance. Speakers express gratitude for worldwide prayers and call for united participation in the Prabhupada 50 campaign to complete this monumental project in Mayapur.

Anybody who offers the Lord a ghee lamp in the month of Kartik, O brahmana, becomes free from all kinds of sins, such as killing a brahmana, and he goes to the abode of Lord Hari.”

So back in spring '85, two guys with long hair showed up at a Krishna temple in Switzerland - clearly high as a kite with red eyes - acting like they already knew everything about Krishna consciousness, but they ended up buying an entire collection of Srila Prabhupada's books anyway.

A special day to serve Go Mata! On this day, everyone around the world comes to Mayapur to serve the cows in the Goshalla. Krsna said that the cows are worshiped even by the demigods, and He practically demonstrated how to protect the cows. At least people who are in Krsna consciousness should follow in His footsteps and give all protection to the cows. Cows are worshiped not only by the demigods. Krsna Himself worshipped the cows on several occasions, especially on the days of Gopastami and Govardhana-puja.

The parikrama runs for a full month from October 6th to November 5th, 2025. The journey begins in Sri Mayapur Dham, the birthplace of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, and concludes in Jagannath Puri where Lord Chaitanya spent His final years. This year was particularly special because it included visits to several holy places not explored in previous years.
