The Bhagavad-gītā is the narration or the philosophy on the science of God, spoken by Kṛṣṇa Himself. Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is the narration about the activities and transcendental pastimes of Kṛṣṇa. Both are kṛṣṇa-kathā.

Thus Govardhana is always in touch with the lotus feet of the Lord. And because Govardhana Hill is so obliged to Lord Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma, it is supplying different kinds of fruits, roots and herbs, as well as very pleasing crystal water from its lakes, in presentation to the Lord. The best presentation offered by Govardhana Hill, however, is newly grown grass for the cows and calves. Govardhana Hill knows how to please the Lord by pleasing His most beloved associates, the cows and the cowherd boys.

Let Kṛṣṇa, who is so kind, beautiful and merciful, protect us. When angry Indra sent torrents of rain, accompanied by showers of ice blocks and high wind, He immediately took compassion upon us and saved us and our families, cows and valuable possessions by picking up the Govardhana Hill, just as a child picks up a mushroom. He saved us so wonderfully. May He continue to mercifully glance over us and our cows. May we live peacefully under the protection of wonderful Kṛṣṇa.

Our specific relationship is with Govardhana Hill and Vṛndāvana forest and nothing more. I therefore request you, My dear father, to begin a sacrifice which will satisfy the local brāhmaṇas and Govardhana Hill, and let us have nothing to do with Indra.

Here was the festival schedule for this year's Jhulan Yatra festival:

At 4:45pm, Sri Sri Radha Madhav is brought with a procession from the temple to the Jhulan Pandal.

Then at 5:30 pm - the swinging of Sri Sri Radha Madhava Deities.

At 6pm, we had the Bhoga offering, Sandhya Arati, sweet kirtan, and lamp offering.

Then at 7, more lively kirtan. At 8:30pm, the deities were finally brought back with another grand procession, followed by another Bhoga offering.

"His Holiness Subhag Swami was born in Kolkata, Srila Prabhupada’s home town. He spent most of his early life in Kolkata and completed his college from Calcutta Scottish Church College where in 1916 Srila Prabhupada had studied English, Sanskrit, Economics and Philosophy.

The śāstras say that one who walks around Navadvīpa attains the fruit of millions of aśvamedha yajñas at every step.

“There is Māyāpur and Śrī Pulina and in the middle flows the Ganges. O magnanimous one, you should understand that all of this is the abode of Gaurāṅga. One who walks these five krośas of the dhāma will see Māyāpur and Sri Pulina. And whoever walks these five krośas with the devotees on the Phalguna Pūrṇimā day receives the eternal treasure of love of God.

That person who once visits Māyāpur is easily freed from the bondage of māyā. One who walks throughout Māyāpur is freed from the influence of māyā and the repetition of birth.
